This summary describes how Hyperdrive handles personal data during the private alpha. A full privacy policy will be published at general availability.

What we collect
If you request access, we collect the email address and any details you volunteer. If you are an alpha user, we collect the account information needed to authenticate you and operate the service. If you connect a repository, we also process its commit history, which includes the names and email addresses recorded in those commits by their authors — including people who are not Hyperdrive users. We use this only to attribute work within your own organization's views, and we never contact those authors.
How we use it
To grant and operate your access, to communicate with you about the alpha, and to improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
Your code
We do not store your source code. To build a codebase's map, we clone the repository to temporary storage, parse it, and delete the clone. What we keep is structural metadata — file paths, symbol names and line ranges — not file contents.
AI processing and subprocessors
Generating documentation, analyses, changelogs and progress summaries sends the relevant repository content and commit history to a third-party model provider (currently Anthropic) for processing. If you configure your own provider key (BYOK), requests are made against the provider you selected using your key. Our infrastructure subprocessors are Supabase (database and authentication), Fly.io (application hosting) and Vercel (web hosting). We will keep this list current and publish it alongside our security page.
Credentials you give us
GitHub tokens and model provider API keys you add are encrypted at rest and are never returned by our API or shown in full in the interface — only a short hint (such as the last four characters) is displayed. You can remove them at any time.
Tenant isolation
Tenant data is isolated per organization with database row-level security. Enterprise / HaaS deployments will be able to keep data within your own database and perimeter (BYODB); that option is not available during the private alpha.
Data residency & requests
For residency, deletion, or access requests, contact us and we will honour applicable rights. Enterprise arrangements can specify residency explicitly.
